About Us
Founded in April 2025, Backgammon and Wax began as a simple idea to enable connection in a disconnected world. Created by actor, rapper and comedian Doc Brown and DJ, music supervisor and podcast host Jeremy 'Uncle Vibes” Newton, the night blends backgammon, records and a shared space.
What started as a one-off event on the rooftop of Soho's Century Club has quickly grown into a welcoming community for a diverse crowd who value conversation, competition and connection in the real world.
